I was thinking this week what type of media I use the most in my everyday life. It is definitely music. I use my smartphone quite a bit but I think my Pandora app is possibly one of the best things to happen to me and the most used. I estimated that I spend at least 12 hours a week listening to music. It is a powerful source of emotion that brings all people of different backgrounds together and I think that is so incredible. Here is are a random song I heard in a film class once that I've been feeling lately:

"Without music, life would be a mistake."
Said Friedrich Nietzsche. Ain't that the truth.

I love pandora! We use it on our TV at home and of course our computers on campus and at work. I think it is great that you can make your own stations and give feedback on what music you want to hear and don't want to hear. Music can have such a great influence in our lives, I think it is great that we have so many opportunities to choose the music we listen to.
